New report highlights best way to improve conversion rates

Thursday 29 October 2009

The best ways for marketers to improve their conversion rates have been highlighted in a new study.

Findings from Econsultancy's Conversion Report have revealed that, while 39 per cent of brands are dissatisfied with their rates, A/B testing is considered the best way to bring about developments in this field.

Over half (53 per cent) of respondents stated that such a technique was highly valuable, with only five per cent believing it offered no benefits.

Furthermore, site conversion to sale was regarded as the top metric by client-side participants in the survey, monitored by 68 per cent.

However, it also emerged that organisations were over twice as likely to witness greater conversion rates if one employee was solely responsible for them, despite the fact that 52 per cent of agencies admitted to having no such person in place.

Earlier this month, firms were advised by Cheryl Swanson of Toniq in an article for UTalkMarketing to work on enhancing their brand experiences for customers, so as to establish an "emotional connection" in order to drive loyalty.
