Online brands 'need to be creative'

Monday 19 October 2009

Businesses trading over the internet could benefit from developing creative and original ideas in their strategies, a PowerPoint presentation design company has suggested.

Writing on the UTalkMarketing blog, Article 10 Presentations noted that by "thinking outside the box", firms may be able to entice clients and customers to their services, although it added that many in corporate management do not consider creativity to be an important factor in business.

Citing research by The Partners, which revealed that 44 per cent of directors admit they have neither the skills nor the commitment to be creative, Article 10 Presentations recommended using high-impact animated videos to make campaigns more memorable, as well as introducing creative fonts and strong visuals to engage with audiences.

Earlier this month, brands were advised by researchers Aberdeen Group and Site Intelligence to utilise web analytics to increase conversion rates, including procedures such as methods of measuring internet-based success - a technique used by the majority of best-in-class companies.
