Viral video 'good for connecting with people'

Friday 30 October 2009

Using viral video as a promotional tool can significantly benefit those who choose to incorporate it into their strategies.

This is according to Article 10 Presentations, a PowerPoint company, which observed on the UTalkMarketing blog that it gives brands an opportunity to divert from the mainstream and "step out of the crowd".

The firm noted that using such films allows businesses to employ "more creative flair" through the adoption of an entirely new tone, with the most successful ones displaying a "common human motivator" that compels people to spread the word.

However, marketers were warned to exercise caution when utilising these videos as, by giving control to consumers, manipulation of material can occur - which could result in damage to reputation.

Earlier this month, Article 10 Presentations suggested that retailers incorporate high-impact animated videos in their campaigns to make them more memorable, while using creative fonts and strong visuals to increase audience engagement.
